Many children in foster care have experienced grief and loss, have lived through extreme neglect and have been subjected to abuse at the hands of adults who were supposed to protect them. Adopt America finds families that are able to help children heal and thrive by willingly and actively addressing the trauma experiences as they lovingly provide stable, permanent relationships that are so vital to the health and well-being of the children.
